For me, spring starts with the snowdrops in March and is followed by lots of spring onions, Christmas roses, cherry blossoms and magnolia. Often it is not the same areas in the garden that are used in all seasons. In early spring, it is often the entrance you pass daily, and perhaps there is a special place on the plot where the spring sun's rays warm extra well - that is where you want your spring garden. Tulips are tough in a natural garden with hungry deer, but there are many other beautiful plants such as snowdrops, daffodils and hybrid tulips that they don't like.
