A balanced garden needs water for plants and abundant wildlife to help you keep pests at bay. Here there was a natural stream that we have improved and added a small pond and pump that circulates the water. Rippling water is calming and the pond attracts birds and small animals. Maybe you dream of a pool or a spa bath. I like to enclose "unnatural" elements so they blend into the environment in a nice way - color choice and surrounding vegetation are important to take into account in the landscape design.
