Stairs and corridors
In a well-designed garden, you should have no difficulty finding the house's entrance. The design itself should subconsciously guide you in the right direction without you needing to see the final destination. The walk is really secondary, it's what you see around you that matters. Most people know that nature, gardens and greenery have a healing power, but even the tree-lined walk can affect our mood. In the Japanese garden, the walkways are often curved and consist of stepping stones. How you place the stones and what distance you have between them affects your speed and also your presence in the present. Gravel also fits well in a natural garden and can even out level differences. Regardless of the type of walkway you choose, it's worth putting a little extra effort into the sub-work - then you get a durable and easy-to-maintain walkway.
