Light and shadow create drama

For me, light in the garden is primarily about natural light. The play of shadows in a garden with mature trees can be quite magical and something I take into account in landscape architecture and when placing plants. When I add "unnatural" light to the garden, it's important that it adds something more than just function. Indirect light sources that illuminate the vegetation create a soft and natural light. Cozy lighting in the form of string lights invites you to late evenings in the garden. Fire is also a beautiful source of light that attracts both young and old.
