My philosophy is to take advantage of the site's natural conditions in design and plant selection. Working with nature instead of against it makes the garden beautiful, lush and easy to maintain. I would like to enhance the natural beauty, such as a rock outcropping, a beautiful view or an old oak tree, through design and plant selection. Here we have planted rhododendrons in the blueberry rice and pruned wild rowan trees into beautiful shapes. By fencing off only the parts of the garden that really need it (like the kitchen garden) and choosing the right plants, you can even invite the deer into the garden!
